Editorial & Corrections Policy

At Kanto Post, our goal is to deliver accurate, timely, and useful coverage of Pokémon games, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, merchandise, events, and wider gaming culture.

We aim to balance editorial independence with transparency around monetization, sponsorships, and affiliate relationships.

Mission & Coverage Priorities

Kanto Post covers news, guides, and analysis for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, with a focus on original reporting over recycled press releases. We aim to publish a small number of substantive stories each week rather than high-volume templated news. Our coverage includes new set releases, market and pricing trends, grading and authentication, and the businesses and products built around the TCG's collecting and investing economy. We also cover Palworld's official trading card game. We do not cover every Pokémon TCG story that breaks. We prioritize stories where we can add genuine analysis, context, or original reporting beyond what's already been said elsewhere.

Accuracy and Updates

We strive to ensure all published information is accurate at the time of publication.

Where major updates are made, we may add an update note to the article.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial decisions are made independently.

Affiliate partnerships, advertising relationships, or commercial agreements do not determine:

Sponsored content and advertisements will be clearly labeled.

Review and Guide Content

Some articles may include:

Trading card prices, pull rates, and product availability can change rapidly.

Sources and Rumors

We distinguish between:

Rumor-based reporting will be clearly labeled where appropriate.

Unnamed Sources

We prefer named, on-the-record sources wherever possible. Anonymous sourcing is used sparingly, only when a source has a legitimate reason to remain unnamed, and the information can't reasonably be obtained on the record, and only when an editor has independently assessed the source's credibility.

Verification & Fact-Checking

Where possible, claims in our reporting are verified against official sources - Pokémon Company and Pokémon Center announcements, TCGplayer market data, and named industry experts. Pull-rate and odds figures are sourced from community pack-tracking and platforms like TCGplayer; because these are statistical estimates rather than official figures, we label them clearly as estimates and note our sources. If a figure can't be verified against a credible source, we say so rather than presenting it as confirmed.

Actionable Feedback

If you spot an error, have a correction to report, or want to raise a concern about our coverage, contact us via the Contact page. We review all correction requests and update published articles when warranted, consistent with our corrections policy above.

How We Handle Corrections

If an article contains inaccurate information, we may:

Major corrections may include a note explaining what was changed.
