Whenever a new trading card game launches, it usually brings its own rarity system. With unfamiliar abbreviations and special finishes, it can be difficult to tell the difference between the most common cards and the biggest chase pulls. Here’s every **Palworld card game** rarity explained.

Like other trading card games, the [Palworld Official Card Game](https://kantopost.mymagic.page/404/) features a range of card rarities, including booster-exclusive chase cards, promotional releases, and trial deck exclusives.

## All Palworld TCG rarities

**Here are the 13 different Palworld TCG rarities to collect:**

- **Common - C**
- **Uncommon - U**
- **Rare - R**
- **Double Rare - RR**
- **Super Rare - SR**
- **Super Parallel - SP**
- **Super Special Parallel - SSP**
- **Super Secret Special - SSS**
- **Official Shop Rare - OSR (promo)**
- **Trial Deck - TD (equivalent to common)**
- **Trial Deck Super Parallel - TSP (promo)**

Super Special Parallel (SSP) cards are generally the headline chase cards of each expansion, featuring premium finishes and full-art illustrations. Super Parallel (SP) cards also feature alternate artwork, but are typically more common than SSPs.

At the launch of the Dawn of Palpagos set, a new tier was revealed: SSS. These are the biggest chase of any set, although the all-gold look may dissuade some collectors. Super Secret Specials are the most elusive card to collect of any Palworld set, making them a hard-to-pull addition to any collection.

For Pokémon TCG players, you can think of SSPs as serving a similar role to Special Illustration Rares, while SP cards fall into a similar category as Illustration Rares. SSS cards fall into the same category as the recent Mega Hyper Rare cards that started with Pokémon's Mega Evolutions era.

OSRs are some of the rarest non-booster cards you can get, as they’re exclusive to tournament events or Bushiroad’s official retail stores, making them some of the most elusive cards to collect. Rather than featuring exclusive artwork, OSR cards are premium parallel versions of existing cards with a special foil finish.

Trial Deck Super Parallel (TSP) and Trial Deck Super Rare (TSR) cards are premium parallel versions of standard Trial Deck cards. Each Trial Deck contains a fixed card list, but some cards can be replaced with these upgraded foil versions at random. Meanwhile, Trial Deck (TD) cards are the standard, non-foil versions included in every deck.

As the Palworld TCG expands, it’s possible that additional rarity tiers will be introduced in future sets, much like other long-running trading card games. We’ll update this guide whenever new rarities are revealed.
