Any time an **Umbreon** chase card pops up, it’s pretty much guaranteed to go for big money. Umbreon remains one of the most sought-after **Pokémon cards** in the TCG, and now, a Chinese chase has hit the four-digit range. Waiting for any Umbreon chases from the [Pokémon TCG](https://kantopost.mymagic.page/tag/pokemon-tcg/) to become cheaper is like waiting for the heat death of the universe. Except, even in those cases, the eventual apocalypse will see these Pokémon cards become the main bargaining chip of the wasteland. The difference between the haves and the have-nots. I would fall into the latter group. Not for lack of want or trying. I ripped so many packs of Prismatic Evolutions trying to get Sunbreon, but I was a little too late for Evolving Skies’ Moonbreon. I expect the upcoming 30th Celebration Premium Deck [promo of Umbreon](https://kantopost.mymagic.page/pokemon-tcg/umbreon-card-30th-deck-box/) will see equally high value, and this Chinese Pokémon card is just further evidence of that. ![An Umbreon 0615 Pokémon card from Chinese Gem Pack Vol. 2 set](https://kantopost.mymagic.page/content/images/2026/06/IMG_1798.jpeg) Recent eBay [sales](https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?%5Fnkw=umbreon+0615+PSA+10&LH%5FSold=1&ref=kantopost.mymagic.page) show PSA 10 copies of Umbreon 0615 changing hands for more than $1,200, putting the card alongside some of the hobby’s most desirable modern Umbreon releases. Of course, this is the highest grade a card can receive from PSA, and it’s a strict requirement as I suggest in my best grading service guide. However, it’s still an increase over time, and one that’s now breached into a more expensive territory. I recently wrote about how Chinese Pokémon cards were trending up in price for a variety of reasons - Umbreon is just another casualty in the continued price hikes. While I can’t make any price predictions in good faith, collectors have always put their money into Umbreon cards, so there’s no sign of this slowing down any time soon. It’s also frustrating as I have been waiting to get some Chinese Pokémon cards for my collection, but clearly, I’ve left it too late. Collectors frustrated with a lack of English and even Japanese stock are now searching elsewhere for stock. At this point, it feels like every Umbreon card is destined to become expensive eventually.
